I took this week off for a home improvement staycation. The #1 goal was done yesterday. I cleaned the garage and had electricians put in a pair of 220V outlets(1 for a phase converter and one near the outside door for a welder or electric stove for powder coating in the driveway). They also added four 4-gang 110V outlets. It's a workshop at last. Will post pics later, if anyone wants to see.

Sounds like your ready to get to work now. Look forward to seeing some pics.

Yeah it was a real pain before. Only one 2-plug 110V outlet, with one taken up by the garage fridge. I only used the Sherline lathe and mill. Now I can set up the little South Bend lathe and shape, and wire up the phase converter for the mill.

One big project I have in mind is the Walter Mueller falling block rifle action.

I'm out running errands right now. Will get pics later tonight.

There's still some stuff in the garage that prevents me from getting a photo of 15 feet of wall, but here are some pics

These guys did some really neat work. I like the labels on the outlets and the corresponding labels in the electrical panel outside. I've wanted to get this done for years, but there were some hard times for a while. Things are definitely better now.

This is where the new wiring enters the wall. Thankfully, my electrical panel is located outside the garage. The conduit to the left goes to a 110 outlet, right side goes to 110 and 220. Vertical goes into attic to drop down opposite wall.

220 for the phase converter, plus the Bridgeport.

220 and 110 very close to outside door of garage.

Looks like they did a clean job. Looking forward to seeing everything once hooked up.

Looks like he got the plumbing and electrical done in one shot. :D

I'm surprised you didn't do 20 amp service for your 120's. Also, is that a four wire 240 receptacle? I just did that a few ago myself. Mounted the subpanel, bent conduit pulled wires. Next up is making my workbench on my next day off.
