Tool block above center

Using a QCTP will sooo much easier since tool height can be adjusted on it
From the text of the dwg.
"and drill and tap the hole marked "B" in the drawing. The position of this hole is not critical. This hole is used with a long 10-32 setscrew and jamnut to set the height of the tool holder."

You have a lathe/mill correct?
Mill the difference from the bottom of the tools, done. Knocking 1/8" off of the bottom of an indexible 1/2 shank cutter will have no effect on it.

Please note that some highend holders may be rather hard.

I know this is an old thread. Just saying I got a BXA wedge tool post. It fit the stand. A friend milled the T to fit the base. It’s cheap, from eBay, and it’s probably not professional quality, but heads and tails above what I had.
