Thank you to everyone who has helped me and given me advice on my Dad and Grandpa's old equipment. I feel like such a dummy! Can someone tell me what this machine is or what it does, etc.?

It's a threading machine for putting threads on pipe or rods. The dies for making the threads are in the tray. One is in the machine.

Do you know what brand it is and how I find out worth, etc.? We are trying to help my Mom out and sell the items for her after Dad died. Thank you so much!

Looks like there is a name cast into the head stock above the die holder. Can you get a good pic of it. or let us know what it says..

Don't know if this is helpful. Never heard of a 'Dodge' machine. Have heard of Dodge bearings.

Pretty sure that is a shop built machine using off-the-shelf hardware, and a nice job too. Never seen one quite like it. The head is made from a common hollow shaft gear reducer from Dodge/Reliance. Looks like the vice is from a Ridged 300 pipe threader. Very useful for threading rods and maybe pipes.

The value of this one is what someone will pay for it, I would start out at maybe $1000?

Dodge is the manufacturer of the gear reduction transmission for the threading machine.
looks like a beefy unit!
good luck

Clean it up as best you can using something like lacquer thinner ( in a well ventilated area) and advertise it as a heavy duty electric threading machine with x number of dies. If the dies are in good condition and it runs well, it should sell. Plumbers use them lol the time. Start at $1000 or best offer.

Good luck.

I cannot thank you all enough for all your help!! You have made this situation so much easier for me and my Mom!

If I were closer we might be doin some wheelin and dealin , machine like that when needed is worth it's weight in gold . As they say sounds like a good place to start , lots of times I wish I had a machine like that. Bolts that need more threading or ones that need re threading . Nice machine hope you get a good price for them , hard to get any price sometimes no matter it's worth.
